Eleven Men's Extrait de Parfum 100ML

One crazy perfumer. One bloodhound of a nose. And me.

We were very young in perfumery. Honestly, I had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.

I had a crazy perfumer, an acquaintance with a bloodhound’s nose, and me—I knew nothing except what I liked. Between us, we decided we could make a fragrance.

That acquaintance knew one particular 2011 batch of Green Irish Tweed. A conversation about that batch got us started. What followed was a lot of experimenting, smelling, and telling each other exactly what we thought.

I don’t like it. Too close. Too far. What happened here? Ew. That’s disgusting.

We didn’t have our processes worked out yet. We had opinions. Plenty of them. Every mod gave us something else to talk about—and something else to change.

Somewhere around eight or nine mods and revisions, we landed on Eleven. We had worked on the scent, the projection, the longevity, and the concentration until we had a fragrance with its own unique DNA inside a familiar DNA family that I was excited to put my name on.

That acquaintance became a friend and one of my most trusted noses. And our experiments with concentration led us to settle on 28% for our Extrait de Parfum.

The name? For once, that part was easy. The conversation started with 2011. Eleven.

It was also when I decided every Vach Cittoni fragrance would carry a phonetic spelling of its name. Whatever language you speak, I wanted you to have a way to say it.

Looking back, it was a slightly mad way to begin. But we kept smelling, talking, changing things, and trying again. A lot of what guides us today began around that table.
